In Valparaiso, police are investigating a robbery believed to have been committed by the same person involved in a series of armed robberies late last year. Valparaiso Police say just after 5:30 this past Friday evening, a man with a handgun entered Ribordy Liquors in the 16-hundred block of Morthland Drive and demanded cash from the register. He was described as black, about 5-foot-7, 150-pounds and wearing baggy blue jeans and a hooded sweatshirt and had his face partially covered. He was last seen running west bound from the store with a undetermined amount of money.
Two robberies occurred at the Valpo Quick Trip convenience store on Lincolnway in November and December 2013. Other robberies in December occurred at the Save Gas Station on North Roosevelt Road and Buz's Liquor Store on East Lincolnway. [Photo/provided by Valparaiso Police]
