A man accused of battering two women near the entrance of the LaPorte Walmart Tuesday evening has been arrested. LaPorte Police report Robert “Lynn” Tindle is charged with two-counts of battery causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct. Police report the victims claimed they had exchanged words with the suspect, his daughter and his wife, while exiting a check-out line, and the suspect allegedly punched two of the three victims in the face, causing injury.
Tindle told officers one of the women struck his daughter, causing her to fall and experience a seizure, and police allowed him to accompany his daughter in an ambulance to the hospital. Police report they later learned the daughter was never treated, as she and the suspect left the hospital upon their arrival, and an investigation substantiated the victims claims that Tindle was the initial physical aggressor of a fight and his daughter was never struck by the victims.
