Regional Health Clinic to Host Open House Tuesday

An open house will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd, for the new Regional Health Clinic near downtown Hammond. Officials report the clinic, located in the 500 block of State Street, will ensure medical resources for all members of the community. The clinic was made possible by a federal grant and fees will be based on a sliding fee/discount schedule. Congressman Pete Visclosky is scheduled to attend the open house which takes place from 11:30am until 1:30pm.
Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Available Services include
·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Primary (General) Healthcare Services – Primary healthcare providers (nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians) provide services for all ages.
·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Adolescent Services – Health education, school and sports physicals, disease screenings and age specific counseling are available.
·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Children’s Healthcare Services – Including illness diagnosis and treatment, well-child visits, immunizations, nutritional health recommendations and routine physicals.
·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Men’s Healthcare Services – Including prostate exams, screenings and routine physical exams.
·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Women’s Healthcare Services – Including prenatal care, family planning, gynecological exams and annual physicals.
·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Diagnostic Laboratory Services – Some routine laboratory tests/screenings are performed on site.
