A traffic light flashing red all directions at the intersection of US-30 and Mississippi initially reported by a traffic tipster at around 4 p.m. is causing a massive backup all directions including at US-30 and Randolph, US-30 and Colorado, US-30 and Broadway even US-30 and Taft.  Also, a back up as seen n the INDOT traffic cam from commuters taking the US-30 exit from southbound I-65.  Bets to avoid US-30 around the Merrillville area if you can.
