Crown  Point, Indiana
- Mayor Uran and the City of Crown Point will join the First United Methodist Church at 7:30am and 7 pm for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony. Mayor Uran will speak at the 730am ceremony located at 352 S Main St. For more information please contact First United Methodist Church at 663-1515
Gary, Indiana
-The City of Gary will host a 9/11 ceremony on the steps of City Hall at 8:00 am to remember and pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks in 2001. The public is invited to attend.
Hobart, Indiana
The city has scheduled an Always remember Memorial Service from 7:30 to 8 pm Tuesday at Festival Park, 111 E. Ridge Road. The Service, in remembrance of 9/11, is being sponsored by the city, Hobart Fire and Police departments, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The events will include speakers, presentation of wreaths, volley fire salutes and balloon release. The Marine Corps League, Ladies Auxiliary and ROTC will also take part
Lake Station, Indiana
-Please join us at Lake Station City Hall at 9:00 am on September 11th, 2012 for the eleventh anniversary of 9/11. a brief ceremony will be held with Mayor Keith Soderquist, who will speak about those who perished and carry on the memory of 9/11. Event highlights include a Moment of Silence, Opening Prayer, Raising of the Flag, River Forest Band, singer/song writer Ron Crist, and Polk Elementary Kid will sing.
Merrillville, Indiana
-The Merrillville Town Council has scheduled a 9/11 memorial ceremony Tuesday evening at Town Hall, 7820 Broadway starting 6:30 pm. The program will include a candlelight vigil, the Merrillville police department's honor guard, the Merrillville High School choir along with the schools orchestra are expected to participate, through out the service police and firefighters prayers will be said.
South Haven, Indiana
-American Legion Post 502 in South Haven presents “Patriot Day Remembrance” on Tuesday September 11th at 7:00 pm in the Pavilion. The event will open with Sheriff David Lain singing the National Anthem, Post 502 Honor Guard to Post Colors, Portage Township Trustee Brandon Clancy will also attend, along with South Haven Fire Department doing Ringing of the Fives, and Cerie Copes of Porter Co. Valparaiso, Indiana
-Tuesday, September 11, 2012 the the 11th anniversary memorial of 9/11, the American Legion Post 94, at 4 E. Monroe, (across from Von Toble Hardware) will have a memorial service to remember, honor and pray for the true American Hero's who perished that day, along with family, friends, and loved one's left behind on the day infamy that changed our lives. -The public is invited to the annual September 11th observance at 9:00 am on Tuesday September 11th at the First Responders Tribute Garden located in Foundation Meadows part at 3210 Campbell in Valparaiso, The Cooks Corners 5th grade class will walk to the ceremony accompanied by the Valparaiso Fire Department honor guard. Principal Erin Utesch will speak on the history of 9/11. while Mayor Jon Costas and State Representative Ed Soliday will pay silence to reflect  on the tragedy that affected all Americans that day. Deputy Fire Chief Steve Jacobs will have the closing comments of the ceremony. Any attendees at the ceremony are welcome to join the 5th graders in their process back to Cooks Corners Elementary School. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Parks Department maintenance building at the same site
