Valparaiso Police are investigating numerous reports of thefts from vehicles that occurred early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the areas of Shaker Dr., Eisenhower Ave., Hollandale Dr., Flemming Rd., Penwick Dr. and Truman Ave for vehicles that had windows broken with items missing from them. A total of 10 thefts were reported in these areas.

Items taken were GPS systems, tools, wallets/purses, laptop computers, radar detectors and other small personal items. Police believe the thefts took place sometime in the early morning hours of Tuesday 12/4.

Police are requesting any information regarding these thefts. Individuals with information can contact the department at 462-2135 or submit a text tip to Tip411 by dialing 847-411 and entering the keyword "Valpo" as the first word in the message field prior to sending your message.
