Police in Hammond reporting four similar robberies in the Hessville area from over the weekend. Chief Brian Miller says the two robberies reported on Saturday are believed to have been committed by the same suspects and Friday and Sunday's incidents are being examined to see if there is any link. Chief Miller says the victims have been juveniles who have had their cell phones and money taken. Police says the robberies have occurred between the hours of 4pm to 8pm, with two or three suspects possibly involved who are described as black males in their late teens, wearing dark hoodie type sweatshirts and face masks. Chief Miller reports one of the suspects allegedly had a silver colored handgun and that there may be a dark colored Dodge Caravan involved. Residents are being encouraged to call police immediately if they witness something suspicious.
