A one-of-a-kind dime fetched $1.84 million by an anonymous bidder in an auction on Aug. 9, 2012 at the American Numismatic Association convention at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The 1873-CC "No Arrows" Liberty Seated dime was previously part of the Battle Born Collection, which contained one of every coin minted at the Carson City Mint before it closed in 1893.
