A 21 year old Gary man was killed Tuesday. The Times reports police responded to a call of shots fired around 3:40 that morning, in the 17-hundredth block of Hayes Street, and found Dorian Johnson lying on the basement floor of the residence. The Lake County Coroner's Office reports Johnson was pronounced dead about an hour later. The Coroner's Office says an autopsy was performed Wednesday, with cause of death due to a gunshot wound to the head, but that they are awaiting toxicology results. Published reports say two people at the scene were taken into custody for questioning.
