In Hammond, police conducted a pre-dawn warrant sweep Wednesday morning. Hammond Police Chief Brian Miller says thirty-three officers fanned out across the city with felony and misdemeanor warrants, making thirty arrests on various charges including possession of a sawed off shotgun, burglary, and possession of narcotics. Chief Miller says many of the misdemeanor warrants were for battery. Police report no injuries to suspects or officers.
