Some Indiana lawmakers helped mark the 170th anniversary of the founding of the University of Notre Dame on Monday. Congressman Pete Visclosky signed his name in the Congressional Record, alongside a speech submitted on behalf of the Indiana delegation by Congressman Joe Donnelly. Congressman Visclosky says the fulfillment of Father Edward Sorin's vision can be seen today in the educational, cultural, philanthropic, and athletic contributions of the student body from all 50 states and over 100 countries, and remains proud to be a graduate of the university.
