Michigan City Police say Operation Jack Frost resulted in thirty-nine arrests Thursday morning. Police say multiple agencies played a role in the warrant sweep, including the Street Crimes Unit, Detective Bureau, Patrol Division, United States Marshal’s Service, Indiana State Police, LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department and Metro Unit, Trail Creek Police Department and LaPorte County Prosecutor’s Office. Police say one focus of this sweep was Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, and eleven individuals were taken into custody on Theft or Receiving Stolen Property charges. Michigan City Police also say more arrests are expected in the near future.
